Aladár Petz County Training Hospital, Győr
The nearly 30-year old, outdated, steam-powered boilers of Aladár Petz County Training Hospital – which used to provide heating for the central steriliser, kitchen and air-conditioning systems – have been replaced by a modern, district-heat-based system. Thanks to the modernisation, the Hospital in Győr faced the heating season in 2014-2015 with an updated, cutting-edge heat system. In the course of the retrofit 3 new block heat centres were installed with a total performance of 2MW, furthermore steam heat exchangers of the pre-and post heaters of the air conditioning systems located in the buildings A, B, E were changed to new hot-water heat exchangers.
The Hospital advertised a tender to modernise its heating systems which involved maintenance and operation of heat centres and boiler houses situated in the hospital area, furthermore the replacement of steam-powered air-conditioning systems to district heating.
Cothec Ltd. has won the tender including energy saving and cost-effective heat supply solutions meeting the strict tender criteria set by the hospital and now heat is supplied within the framework of a long-term co-operation. Due to the result of the modernisation significant decrease in operation costs is expected. Apart from natural gas reservation capacity, operation, maintenance and energy costs have been reduced by providing safe and continuous operation guarantee.

Veszprém - Polyclinics
In the Polyclinics of Veszprém 4 LHO type 2 t/h steam boilers served energetic tasks with manual control. Building block heat exchangers supplied hot water via steam pipe system.
The internal heating system was rather outdated and its hydraulic composition was not adequate either.
The annual gas consumption amounted to 98.000 m3, and the annual energy consumption was 3330 GJ.
After the renewal (1) 200 KW, and (1) 150 KW VIESSMANN boiler was built in. An external temperature-related control was set up. We modernised the heat centre with new motor-driven valves and pumps and control electronics. A new secondary heating system was established with the replacement of radiators. After the modernisation the annual gas consumption reduced to 70.000 m3-and the annual energy consumption to 2380 GJ!
Sopron - State Sanatorium
In the State Sanatorium in Sopron heating tasks were supplied with (4) steam boilers each with a unit performance of 1400 KW and manual control. Building block heat exchangers supplied hot water via steam pipe system. A totally outdated internal heating system was operated and the hydraulic setup was not sufficient. The annual gas consumption amounted to 539.620 m3, and the annual energy consumption 18.347 GJ.
In the course of the renewal (2) VIESSMANN boilers of 1400 KW performance were installed. External weather-related control was established.
The heat centres were modernised with new motor-driven valves, pumps and control electronics. A new secondary heating system was established with the replacement of radiators.
After the modernisation the annual gas consumption reduced to 415.508 m3, and the annual energy consumption to 14.130 GJ!
